Job summary

Penn Medicine in Philadelphia is seeking staff to stock materials in patient areas and distribute supplies and patient care equipment, supporting safe and efficient clinical operations.

The role performs pickup and delivery, inventory functions for the storeroom, and coordinates with the Inventory Coordinator and Operations Manager to prevent stockouts while maintaining a clean, organized storeroom and strict regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Equivalent experience: considered in lieu of formal education.
• Experience in inventory or storeroom environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs pickup and delivery of supplies, equipment and other materials.
• Performs inventory functions related to the storeroom.
• Advises Inventory Coordinator and Operations Manager of stock-out situations.
• Performs clerical functions associated with automated materials management inventory system and receiving verification.
• Cleans work area as requested. Ensures all areas of accountability are compliant with all federal, state and local regulatory standards, including JCAHO, HIPAA and others.
• Ensures Associate compliance with supply delivery procedures on all shifts.
• Works with Inventory Coordinator and Operations Manager to ensure continuous supply to storeroom.
• Maintains the storeroom in a well-organized and clean state.
• Exemplifies excellent hospitality towards patient, visitors, physicians and co-workers as outlined in the Service Excellence Standards.
