Job summary

Ocean Beach Health is seeking a Materials Management Manager to oversee procurement, inventory control, and vendor relationships across the hospital and clinics on the Washington Coast. You’ll lead cost‑effective purchasing, ensure compliance, and support departments with reliable, timely supply management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or a related field or 3–5 years of management experience in healthcare.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate suppliers and determine best value.
• Excellent negotiating, interpersonal, and vendor communication abilities.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Directs procurement, inventory control, receiving, storage, distribution, and mail transport.
• Reviews, evaluates, and approves purchase orders and non-stock requests.
• Maintains relationships with departments to understand specifications and supply needs.
• Negotiates contracts and serves as primary contact for vendors and distributors.
• Provides administrative support to the CFO through reports and budgets.
• Manages PAR level systems and maintains adequate supply levels.
• Leads product evaluations and coordinates assessments.
• Ensures safe practices for receiving hazardous substances and MSDS coordination.
