Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking an Inventory Clerk to receive, inspect, and issue materials, supplies, and equipment in the Food Service/Materials area. The role maintains accurate stock levels, replenishes inventories, and supports record-keeping and documentation processes.

The position requires basic math, reliable English communication, and familiarity with inventory systems; prior experience with MMIS/Par Excel is preferred. This on-site role supports hospital operations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 year (6 months) related experience; experience with computerized inventory systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.
• Maintains inventory levels and replenishes stock; prepares purchase orders at reorder point.
• Receives and inspects shipments; verifies against purchase orders.
• Maintains records and shipping documents; organizes stock and distribution.
• Ensures accuracy and adheres to safety and department policies.
