Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Materials Management Coordinator to oversee hospital-wide inventory, forecast needs, place and track orders, and manage recalls and returns to ensure uninterrupted patient care.

You will maintain storage, label and charge items, coordinate purchase orders for timely payment, and partner with leadership to optimize supply levels; strong organization and communication are essential. This role requires a high school diploma and healthcare purchasing experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Minimum 2 years purchasing experience; healthcare setting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify inventory needs for all hospital departments; order supplies and process returns promptly.
• Notify leadership of recalled items and remove them from stores quickly.
• Stock, label, and maintain charged medical and office supplies.
• Maintain and organize all medical supply and office storage locations.
• Communicate with leadership to ensure adequate inventory levels and elevate needs.
• Coordinate purchase orders and packing slips to support payment processing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
