Job summary

Baptist in Collierville, TN is seeking a Materials Management Associate to support daily inventory, receiving, distribution, and supply replenishment activities within the hospital.

You will work with hospital departments to ensure supplies and patient care equipment are received, stored, rotated, and stocked accurately and efficiently, while maintaining records and contributing to improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, Materials Management, receiving, distribution, or storeroom operations.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills required.
• Experience with inventory management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to departmental supply requests promptly.
• Receive daily supply deliveries and verify accuracy, quantity, and condition.
• Process daily truck deliveries from receipt through final put-away.
• Ensure received products are organized, rotated, and stored properly.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies to maintain stock levels.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and monitor expiration dates.
• Picks, stages, and distributes supplies to hospital departments and storage locations.
• Maintain accurate receiving, inventory, and distribution records.
• Track patient care equipment and maintain equipment inventory.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and other departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Identify inventory or operational concerns and communicate them to Materials Management leadership.
• Participate in performance-improvement initiatives involving inventory accuracy, productivity, cost control, and customer service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom and receiving environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supports daily Materials Management operations by performing inventory, receiving, distribution, and supply replenishment activities. Works collaboratively with Materials Management team members and hospital departments to ensure supplies and patient care equipment are received, stored, maintained, and distributed accurately and efficiently.

• Provides prompt, professional service when responding to departmental supply requests.
• Receives daily supply deliveries and verifies shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
• Processes daily truck deliveries from receipt through final put-away, ensuring supplies are accurately stocked in designated storeroom locations and shelving.
• Ensures received products are properly organized, rotated, and stored according to departmental procedures.
• Monitors inventory levels and replenish supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Performs cycle counts, inventory adjustments, expiration-date monitoring, and assists with resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Picks, stages, and distributes supplies to designated hospital departments and supply locations.
• Maintains accurate receiving, inventory, and distribution records.
• Tracks patient care equipment and assists with maintaining accurate equipment inventory.
• Works with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and other departments to resolve receiving, ordering, invoice, and supply discrepancies.
• Identifies inventory or operational concerns and communicates them to Materials Management leadership.
• Participates in departmental performance-improvement initiatives involving inventory accuracy, productivity, cost control, and customer service.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, Materials Management, receiving, distribution, or storeroom operations.
• Healthcare experience and experience working with patient care supplies and equipment preferred.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills required.
• Experience with inventory management systems preferred.
