Maple Grove Wellness & Rehabilitation in Fenton, MO is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, preventative tasks, and basic repairs to ensure a safe, clean environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance and preventative maintenance throughout the facility.
• Complete daily maintenance work orders using the TELS maintenance system.
• Conduct daily rounds of the building to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
• Perform scheduled safety inspections and weekly walkthroughs of high-risk areas.
• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and general building repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, troubleshoot lighting issues, adjust room temperatures, and reset circuit breakers as needed.
• Help maintain HVAC, mechanical, and electrical equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Assist with nurse call system checks and minor equipment repairs.
• Prepare resident rooms for admissions by completing maintenance repairs and room setup.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Keep maintenance supplies organized and stocked.
• Report major maintenance concerns or equipment failures to the Plant Supervisor.
• Work closely with housekeeping and laundry departments to maintain a clean, safe environment.
