Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Fairfax, VA. This part-time role (Fri only, 7:45 AM–6:30 PM) involves driving a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, and supplies.

A walking route with no major driving is required, and a criminal background check, drug screen, and MVR review will be completed before employment. You must be 19+, have a valid driver’s license for 3 years, and be comfortable with technology and item handling up to 50

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to walk long distances and stand for long periods.
• Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of the day in a company-owned vehicle, safely driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior; conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean vehicle.
• Route duties vary based on client needs and may change; perform all duties across routes.
