Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks a Locksmith Mechanic for THR Dallas on the 1st shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm, M–F) to repair, install, and key mechanical and electronic lock systems across the facility.

You will read blueprints, install and maintain locks, cut keys, and troubleshoot electronic lock systems, with inventory duties and ensuring fire door functionality. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• 2 years of trade school or on‑the‑job related experience preferred.
• Ability to lift medium/heavy equipment and tools.
• Exposure to heat, noise, dust and dirt areas requiring infection control.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and diagrams, estimates time and material costs, and requests supplies for timely installations.
• Installs, repairs and maintains locks and keys.
• Inserts new or repaired tumblers to change combinations.
• Operates lock smithing equipment to cut and duplicate keys.
• Installs locks and lock systems with various hardware and carpentry methods.
• Maintains records and inventory for locks, keys, spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Ensures proper functionality of fire door assemblies across facilities.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electronic lock systems.
