Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a Locksmith Mechanic for THR Dallas on the 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday). The role involves repair, alteration, installation and keying of mechanical and electronic lock systems across the facility.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and a valid driver’s license; trade-school or related experience preferred. Lifting of medium/heavy equipment may be required; exposure to heat, noise, dust and dirt areas is

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and diagrams, estimates materials and time for installations.
• Installs, repairs and maintains locks and keys.
• Changes lock combinations by inserting tumblers.
• Opens doors by moving lock picks in cylinders.
• Installs locks and lock systems with various hardware and carpentry methods.
• Maintains records and inventory of locks, keys, spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Ensures fire door assemblies remain functional throughout facilities.
• Cuts keys with key cutting machine.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electronic lock systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Provides locksmith services with specific responsibility for the repair, alteration, installation, and keying of mechanical and electric/electronic lock systems throughout the facility. This is a first shift 7am to 3:30pm M-F schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and diagrams, figures out materials needed, estimates time and material costs on installations, and requests supplies to assure timely and adequate availability.
• Installs, repairs and maintains keys and locks.
• Inserts new or repaired tumblers into lock to change combination.
• Moves lock pick in cylinder to open door locks without keys.
• Installs locks and lock systems with different hardware and carpentry methods.
• Maintains records, inventory for locks, keys, spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Maintains proper functionality of fire door assemblies throughout the facilities.
• Uses key cutting machine to cut new or duplicate keys.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electronic lock systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
