A nationally recognized law firm specializing in healthcare and life sciences law is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Healthcare Litigation team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for attorneys with a background in litigation—especially those with exposure to healthcare law—to engage in a wide range of legal matters involving insurance appeals, administrative hearings, and regulatory investigations. The role involves hands-on litigation work, client interaction, and strategic legal planning in a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:
Draft appeals to medical insurance companies on behalf of healthcare providers
Communicate extensively with clients and experts regarding factual investigation, strategy, and case status
Draft responses to medical licensing board investigations
Review, analyze, and index document productions
Prepare administrative law judge (ALJ) hearing and trial binders
Conduct negotiations with investigators
Prepare witness outlines and exhibits for hearings, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings
Conduct oral arguments at ALJ hearings
Communicate and provide status reports to insurance company claim representatives
Requirements:
1–4 years of litigation experience (healthcare litigation experience preferred)
Willingness to work in the Pine Brook, NJ office at least 2 days per week
Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Demonstrated experience performing responsibilities aligned with this role
Ability to manage a large caseload and meet deadlines
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
Certifications:
Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state
