Job summary

LOPA seeks an Instructional Design & Technology Specialist to design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions aligned with clinical and organizational goals. You will partner with training education leaders, SMEs, and departments to identify needs and develop programs including continuing education.

The role also supports clinical simulation operations, including scenario development, equipment operation, troubleshooting, and learning technology administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in instructional design, learning and development, healthcare education, clinical simulation, or a related field.
• Experience operating or supporting clinical simulation software, equipment, patient simulators, audiovisual systems, or related simulation technologies.
• Demonstrated experience applying adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, including ADDIE and/or SAM.
• Experience developing eLearning and multimedia content using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems; Absorb LMS experience preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare or clinical education environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, implements, and evaluates learning solutions supporting organizational goals.
• Conducts learning needs assessments and develops instructional solutions using adult learning principles.
• Creates instructional materials including eLearning modules, facilitator guides, job aids, multimedia content, assessments, and performance support resources.
• Selects and applies instructional methods (instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, blended, simulation-based).
• Collaborates with department leaders and SMEs to identify training priorities and performance Improvement opportunities.
• Maintains continuing education programs, annual training plans, and competency assessment tools.
• Facilitates training in various settings including individual, group, classroom, virtual, and simulation.
• Evaluates training effectiveness and organizational impact using established evaluation methods.
