Job summary

The Good Samaritan Sanford Health - Sioux Falls Center is seeking a Full-time Laundry Assistant to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in Sioux Falls, SD. You will handle sorting, washing, and distributing linens, following infection prevention guidelines and location procedures.

Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing most of the shift, and rotating weekends. The role requires a High school diploma (preferred) and basic computer use; driving may be needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to use a computer, prior cleaning experience in a healthcare setting, knowledge of materials, equipment and methods used in cleaning is helpful.
• Depending on location, must have a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform day to day tasks to maintain a clean environment in a health care organization.
• Handle laundry including sorting, washing, chemical use, and maintaining infection prevention guidelines.
• Collect and sort laundry, distribute clean linens, and label items according to location processes.
• Lift up to 30-50 lbs and push/pull up to 500 lbs; stand for most of the shift.
• Work hours may vary including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
