Job summary

iCare Financial Services is seeking a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to manage day-to-day housekeeping tasks in a healthcare setting, ensuring cleanliness and safety for residents. You will handle laundry duties, follow facility procedures, and support the care team to deliver clean linens promptly.

The role requires at least 1 year of healthcare housekeeping experience, the ability to lift 50+ pounds, and reliable attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year or more experience in healthcare housekeeping/laundry.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of 50 pounds.
• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 1 year experience in nursing home housekeeping.
• Attention to detail and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform laundry duties: washing, drying, folding, and ironing patient garments and linens.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of linens, towels, and laundry equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, adhering to facility standards.
• Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure prompt delivery of clean laundry to patients.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling patient belongings and sensitive information.
