Job summary

JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home is seeking a part-time Laundry Assistant to support our residents and facilities. The role involves sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering clean laundry while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Shifts run 6:00AM–2:00PM or 7:00AM–3:00PM with weekend and holiday rotations. The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old, have experience in healthcare or senior living laundry as a preference, and communicate fluently in English.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in housekeeping/laundry in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver clean laundry according to facility procedures.
• Collect soiled linens, towels, and resident clothing from designated areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry area and operate equipment properly.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and confidentiality procedures when handling laundry.
