Job summary

JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home in Longmeadow, MA is hiring a part-time Laundry Assistant for 15 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience, with morning shifts available (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and weekend/holiday rotation.

You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver clean laundry, collect soiled linens, and maintain a clean, safe laundry area while following infection-control, safety, and confidentiality procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in healthcare laundry is preferred.
• English fluency required (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver clean laundry according to facility procedures.
• Collect soiled linens, towels, and resident clothing from designated areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry area and operate equipment properly.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and confidentiality procedures when handling laundry.
