Job summary

Health Advances in Newton, MA is seeking a full-time Information Specialist to assist project teams with secondary research and to help build our proprietary knowledge base. The role requires knowledge of healthcare resources and the ability to locate, evaluate, and tag internal and external content, while collaborating with teams in Newton, SF, Zug, and Hong Kong.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Library/Information Science (or equivalent) with at least two years in healthcare information

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library/Information Science or equivalent education and experience a plus.
• A minimum of 2 years year of experience in the healthcare industry, preferably corporate information services, marketing, business development, or knowledge management.
• Undergraduate degree in healthcare-related field a plus.
• Detailed knowledge of healthcare industry resources, including public data and statistics, business databases, and clinical materials strongly preferred.
• Experience with competitive intelligence databases (IQVIA, Norstella, Citeline, GlobalData, Refinitiv LSEG, and Factiva) and government systems such as PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov.
• Knowledge of information management technologies such as collaboration and search tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Work with project and business development teams, providing data and literature research support.
• Respond to requests by surveying internal holdings and external resources with tailored results.
• Advise project teams on resources to complete specific projects.
• Identify, evaluate, and document external resources for use by project teams.
• Help develop and implement new knowledge products and services.
• Support information, data, and resource discovery by describing and tagging content.
