Job summary

The role emphasizes food safety, nutrition, and efficiency in meal transport. Experience in food prep and a valid driver's license with a clean MVR are required, with healthcare setting familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Culinary training or certification is a plus.
• 1–2 years of experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations.
• Previous experience in a treatment center or healthcare setting preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, nutrition, and kitchen equipment operation.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation & Cooking: assist in preparing meals per menu plans and safety standards.
• Meal Transportation & Delivery: safely transport meals to Sandstone Care locations with temperature control.
• Kitchen Operations & Inventory: maintain cleanliness, organize supplies, assist with ordering.
• Food Safety & Compliance: follow health regulations and participate in food service training.
• Administrative Tasks: maintain meal counts, inventory logs, vehicle mileage, and documentation.
