Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking a Sous Chef to lead the Culinary Department at a facility. You will assist in supervising, preparing, and cooking items, develop daily menus, and help with ordering.

This role offers an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional an exciting opportunity. You will work with the Executive Chef to manage cost controls, create menus, and roll out culinary programs in collaboration with marketing.

Qualifications

• AS or equivalent experience preferred.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience desirable.
• Catering experience a plus.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful.
• Knowledge of food trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email and the Internet.
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities.
• ServSafe certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with cost controls and expenditure management.
• Assist with planning and creating menus.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary team.
