Job summary

Boone County Health Center is seeking a dependable Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology team on-site in Albion, NE. You will maintain secure server infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments, manage virtualization (Nutanix AHV, VMware ESXi), and support AD/GP, M365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and MFA.

You’ll handle onboarding/offboarding, EMR/EHR support, and DR testing. The role emphasizes security monitoring, server updates, SSL/TLS certificates, and timely IT

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, cybersecurity, or related IT role.
• Healthcare or EMR/EHR experience preferred but not required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, maintain, and secure the hospital’s server infrastructure.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux server environments.
• Manage virtualization platforms (Nutanix AHV, VMware ESXi) and storage, performance, and capacity.
• Monitor server availability, performance, hardware health, storage, logs, and infrastructure components.
• Plan, test, document, and deploy server OS and application updates.
• Review security alerts and remediation actions; support security activities.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, MFA, and user access.
• Onboard/offboard employees by managing accounts, licenses, roles, and permissions.
• Support the hospital’s EMR/EHR and other clinical/business applications.
• Manage automated backup and disaster recovery, including Zerto replication and DR testing.
• Install and manage SSL/TLS certificates for servers and apps.
• Troubleshoot server, app, account, and network issues.
