Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee and coordinate hospital IT projects across the full project lifecycle. The role requires strong communication, scheduling, and documentation skills to ensure on-time delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will manage requirements, coordinate technical teams, and facilitate user acceptance testing, training, and implementation while maintaining project governance and change management processes.

Qualifications

• An associate’s degree, or equivalent in Information Systems or in hospital environment area of specialization and up to 3 years demonstrated proficiency managing IT projects.
• Must be proficient in using project management software and in the use of personal computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Requires good verbal and written communication skills.
• Will require domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others.
• Development and implementation of complete project schedules to ensure required dates are met.
• Must be able to generate and manage detailed project plans.
• Participate in the development of technical requirements and IT planning for future software projects.
• Oversee and assure the creation and maintenance of documentation for installation, testing, and operating procedures.
• Review status reports and communicate overall status to upper management.
• Ensure that all functions/organizations affected by software changes are prepared and trained.
• Monitor and maintain customer satisfaction through status meetings and updates.
• Maintain rapport with project teams and sponsors; oversee transition to Technology Operations.
