Job summary

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science preferred with 5+ years in IT operations.
• Windows Desktop and Server operating systems, Microsoft SQL and Exchange are required.
• Experience administering Active Directory and Group Policies is essential.
• TCP/IP networking skills including topology, technologies, IP addressing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with VMware administration.
• Understanding of Cisco wireless network infrastructure.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records or health care environment.
• Knowledge of database administration and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT services to employees, customers and contractors; maintain computer systems.
• Apply system analysis techniques and consult with users on hardware/software needs.
• Procure, install, inventory and maintain hardware/software for operable systems.
• Develop and monitor department budget and productivity metrics.
• Advise on software programs to support clinical programs.
• Forecast staffing, equipment and supply needs and monitor budgets.
• Design, develop, and test computer systems and programs; create prototypes.
• Manage Active Directory, scripts and policies; maintain security of data.
• Prepare technical/admin reports and correspondence; annual/ monthly planning and reporting.
• Oversee network administration; ensure data security; implement backup/DR for systems.
• Maintain offsite and onsite backups; monitor system availability and security.
• Represent the organization to outside agencies; provide technical assistance as needed.
• Communicate with staff and executives, build positive relationships; support service quality.
• Provide ongoing network/system support and software application servers.
• Oversee IT staff lifecycle: hiring, performance management, coaching, development, discipline.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
