Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care seeks an IT leader to direct the IT-Technology Department, aligning technology strategy with the hospital’s goals. You will oversee operations, security, budgets, and staff training in a healthcare setting.

You will collaborate with senior leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and effective information management across departments, while guiding multi-project delivery and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science or related field with specialization in data communication and information systems, or equivalent business experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in IT leadership position in a health care setting.
• Knowledge of application information technologies in health care.
• Excellent project management and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop organizational IT strategies aligned with the hospital’s plan.
• Direct the IT-Technology Department operations, budgets, and staff training.
• Ensure reliable operation and security of hospital information systems and data.
• Lead regulatory compliance efforts (HIPAA, HITECH, PCI) and risk mitigation.
• Oversee budget formulation, approval, and monitoring for IT operating and capital expenditures.
• Mentor staff, foster communication, and coordinate with other departments.
