Job summary

Southern Orthodontic Partners is seeking an entry-level Service Desk Technician to be the first point of contact for practice teams when technology issues arise. You will log requests, troubleshoot common Windows and Microsoft 365 problems, and escalate more complex issues with complete documentation.

In this role you’ll help with onboarding equipment, manage passwords and MFA, and support practice management and imaging software.

Qualifications

1+ year of help desk or IT support experience.
Experience with Windows and Microsoft 365.
High school diploma or equivalent; IT coursework preferred.
Able to work Monday–Friday with some after-hours.
Willing to travel to partner practices (~5%).

Responsibilities

Answer support requests by phone, email, Teams, and portal, as the first point of contact for practice and central teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve common Windows and M365 issues on first contact, including printers and peripherals.
Handle password resets, account unlocks, and MFA issues.
Fulfill standard service requests (onboarding, offboarding, access requests, software/hardware requests).
Escalate complex issues to Level 2/Infrastructure/Cybersecurity with full context and documentation.
Document each ticket clearly with steps and resolution; keep stakeholders updated.
Write fixes for recurring issues to update the knowledge base.
Recognize and escalate suspected security incidents per HIPAA procedures.
