Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks an Application Analyst to advance the functionality and efficiency of assigned information systems through analysis, design and development of software modules. The role includes training customers, supporting operations, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve work methods and tools.

The analyst reports to the Manager and supports project schedules, plans and timelines while contributing to quality care and patient safety initiatives within MHHS.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or two years experience.
• Experience with large, complex information systems.
• Healthcare MIS experience in analysis, design, building, testing and implementation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning: with moderate supervision, set priorities and understand applications to perform tasks.
• Applications Development: use tools to develop queries, simple apps, and reports to satisfy requirements.
• Analysis/Design: translate requests into software specifications for task execution.
• Technical Administration: maintain detailed knowledge of assigned applications and support users.
• Communications: plan and communicate effectively, assess information needs.
• Problem Solving: identify issues and propose options to minimize impact.
• Application Support: assist customers, participate in after-hours support rotation.
• Customer Service: provide training, support and problem resolution to customers.
