Job summary

Springfield Clinic is seeking a Materials Management Clerk II to support the ASC, Endoscopy and Pain Management areas with inventory, receiving, and distribution tasks. You will help ensure surgical cases have the necessary supplies by monitoring schedules and performing cycle counts.

The role requires a high school diploma and familiarity with medical terminology. A valid Illinois driver's license is required, and proficiency with PeopleSoft/Oracle is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical products/terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify receipts, note damages, contact vendors, and document discrepancies.
• Inventory, receive, store, and deliver supplies to clinical and non-clinical departments/areas within the ASC.
• Monitor surgery schedule to determine supplies for surgical cases.
• Perform counts of par level locations via handheld technology and research discrepancies.
• Order and scan supplies to various departments/areas using correct charge methods.
• Assist in completing month end loss report for expired/wasted items and return to vendor items.
• Maintain ASC inventory and storeroom in a clean and orderly manner per regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate with internal and external departments including requesting items from hospital partners and vendor representatives.
• Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
• Adhere to OSHA and Springfield Clinic training as required per policy.
• Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
• Performs cycle counts on perpetual inventories within PeopleSoft to ensure accuracy.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
