Job summary

SSM Health in St. Louis, MO seeks a healthcare materials assistant to coordinate ordering, stocking and returns of supply inventory and equipment, supporting the clinical department's procedural needs and removing outdated items.

You will monitor inventory levels with high accuracy, maintain a clean, organized environment for patient safety, and perform cycle counts and data entry to keep records up to date.

Responsibilities

• Monitor levels of all inventoried supplies with high accuracy to support department requirements.
• Promote patient safety by maintaining supplies in a clean, well-organized environment.
• Tag and monitor short-dated products, remove and document expired items.
• Maintain accurate records to determine order status.
• Follow up on missed deliveries and backorders.
• Communicate with clinical staff and plan alternatives if needed products are unavailable.
• Perform cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure stock levels are appropriate.
• Communicate stock status within departments supported and any supply needs or concerns to management.
• Assist in purchase requisition processing and equipment care.
