Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Materials Technician II to manage daily supply chain tasks across clinical and non-clinical areas. You will rely on Lawson MMIS modules and Pyxis systems to order, stock, and verify inventory, ensuring accurate usage reports for nursing management.

You will collaborate with department managers to maintain optimal par levels, coordinate item substitutions, and deliver supplies promptly to support patient care across units.

Qualifications

  • Must have 3 years' related supply chain experience.
  • Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains understanding of Lawson MSCM and RQC modules.
  • Initiates daily stock replenishment and delivers items to departments.
  • Maintains par levels in Lawson and Pyxis to match department demand.
  • Adds/deletes items based on utilization and proactively manages par levels.
  • Keeps updated labels on items and tracks expirations to prevent waste.
  • Escalates critical items via hotlist and manages recalls as needed.
  • Handles item transfers and log updates for interdepartmental movements.
  • Performs tissue tracking and ensures proper storage of sterile/processed goods.
