Job summary

Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital is seeking an inventory coordinator to oversee department stock levels, par levels, and the distribution of medical supplies, linens, and equipment. The role involves day-to-day inventory management, liaising with Supply Chain, and ensuring readiness for clinical use.

The position supports staffing across Utah facilities on a PRN basis, with shifts between 6:00AM–6:00PM and holidays required.

Qualifications

• Six months of related Materials Management experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with basic word processing, spreadsheets, internet, email, and scheduling apps.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability.
• Ability to visually inspect boxes, packing slips, and reports.
• Experience using pallet jacks and other materials handling equipment.
• Experience in healthcare supplies distribution.

Responsibilities

• Oversees inventory control for stock and non-stock items; sets par levels and tracks trends.
• Keeps supplies binned and organized.
• Acts as liaison between Supply Chain and the department or facility.
• Orders and delivers supplies using appropriate systems and suppliers.
• Communicates supply levels, new products, and standardization to staff.
• Troubleshoots issues for problem resolution.
• Manages Par Location, PIRS Replenishment, Location Maintenance, Delivery, and Kanban visuals.
• Monitors on-hand quantities and reconciles discrepancies.
• Uses SCIS for distribution, inventory, receiving, and reporting per policies and regulators.
• Reviews daily, weekly, and monthly reports for locations.
