Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst to ensure adequate medical product supply, align with patient care needs, and minimize inventory investment across the healthcare system.

You will implement and monitor inventory control procedures, support supply planning and demand forecasting, and maintain high forecast accuracy and data integrity in planning systems and ERP environments. Hybrid work options apply.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years’ experience in analysis with emphasis on inventory management, product/category management, or retail forecasting.
• Mastery of Supply Chain KPIs
• Demonstrated supply chain experience working with transportation, distribution, purchasing, supplier management, and/or inventory management.
• Solid understanding of Master Data and Databases, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain inventory control procedures for healthcare environments, ensuring adequate supply levels.
• Use planning and forecasting to support departments while managing costs.
• Reflect demand changes accurately in planning systems and forecasting files.
• Review and release replenishment orders from planning to ERP systems.
• Mitigate stockouts with safety stock or substitutions.
• Coordinate product changes and communicate timelines for product conversions.
• Support return and recall processes to maintain accuracy and patient safety.
• Maintain high data accuracy in inventory records and usage history.
