Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst to ensure optimal medical supplies and materials, while implementing inventory control procedures and demand forecasting. You will collaborate with logistics, procurement, and leadership to minimize disruptions and costs, supporting patient care with accurate data and processes.

The role emphasizes healthcare supply chain expertise, ERP/WMS proficiency, and data-driven decisions across on-site and hybrid settings.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years’ experience in analysis with emphasis on inventory management, product/category management, or retail forecasting.
• Mastery of Supply Chain KPIs (KPIs).
• Demonstrated experience partnering with transportation, distribution, purchasing, supplier management, and inventory management.
• Solid understanding of Master Data, Databases, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain inventory control procedures for healthcare needs.
• Support planning with supply planning and demand forecasting to align patient care needs with costs.
• Reflect demand changes in planning systems to maintain forecast accuracy.
• Review and release replenishment orders from planning to ERP systems.
• Mitigate stockouts with safe stock or substitutions as needed.
• Coordinate product changes cross-functionally for timely implementation.
• Support return/recall processes ensuring data accuracy and safety.
• Maintain high data accuracy in inventory records and usage history.
• Troubleshoot discrepancies in counts and workflow issues in warehousing and off-site locations.
• Analyze data to assess inventory health and provide department recommendations.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, category management, and leadership to improve processes.
