Job summary

Detroit Medical Center's DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is seeking an Inventory/Materials Clerk to manage system inventory, replenishment, receipt, storage and distribution of supplies using Lawson software. You will establish stock levels, create vendor requisitions, track backorders, resolve variances, and support Stock Control Clerks while following hospital policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in replenishment, receipt, storage and distribution of inventory.
• Experience with computerized inventory control systems.

Responsibilities

• Establish appropriate levels of inventoried products and balance costs with service levels.
• Create vendor requisitions and manage orders for inventory supplies.
• Generate documentation for Item Master and hospital storeroom locations.
• Research departmental backorders and update orders with vendors.
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances identified by cycle count.
• Provide guidance and training for Stock Control Clerks and follow safety policies.
