Job summary

NBBJ seeks an experienced Interior Designer to lead design for international healthcare and corporate projects. You will pursue, develop, manage, and execute design across all phases, from concept through documentation and construction administration.

You will champion design excellence, collaborate with architects, planners, and graphic designers, and guide teams to deliver healing, human-centered environments that meet client and community goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
• Significant healthcare project experience across all design phases.
• Professional licensure in architecture or interior design is a plus.
• LEED accreditation or near-term attainment expected.
• Strong marketing, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion design excellence across the firm and set new standards for innovation and impact.
• Lead design processes for large-scale and complex projects, solo or with a team.
• Design healing spaces for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate across disciplines with architects, planners, lighting and graphic designers.
• Develop and articulate design narratives with clear graphics for clients and teams.
• Link insights into a coherent design framework and measurable outcomes.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Oversee furniture selection and specification where applicable.
