In this role you verify benefits and payment methods, obtain prior authorizations, assign payer categories, and ensure timely, accurate processing of referrals/admissions while upholding ethical standards and a collaborative team environment. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in a healthcare related environment preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• Position may require unscheduled overtime, weekend work; travel required.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours and learn HRIS/scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Receives, screens and processes all referral information.
• Performs verification of benefits and payment method; obtains prior authorization.
• Assigns appropriate payer category and scans information back to facility.
• Ensures timely and accurate processing of referrals/admissions.
• Adheres to ethical business practices and promotes a safe, efficient environment.
