American Health Plans, a division of American Health Partners Inc., is seeking a referral intake coordinator to manage the flow of referral and intake information. The role requires verifying benefits, obtaining prior authorizations, and ensuring accurate processing for admissions.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and healthcare experience. The position involves overtime and travel, with benefits such as medical/dental/vision, PTO, TeleDoc, and a 401(k) plan.

Formación

• Three (3) years experience in a healthcare related environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to verify benefits and obtain prior authorizations.

Responsabilidades

• Receive, screen and process referral information.
• Verify benefits, payment method and amounts.
• Obtain prior authorization to ensure services are reimbursable before admission.
• Assign payer category for facility personnel.
• Scan information back to requesting facility.
• Ensure timely processing of referrals/admissions.
• Support review of potential insurance contracts.
• Adhere to ethical standards and company policies.
