Responsibilities

• Handle third-party follow-up related to dispensing of prescription medications by phone, web, and written correspondence.
• Follow up on unpaid, recouped payments and underpaid claims.
• Resolve issues causing nonpayment due to insurance problems or errors.
• Maintain chronological notes detailing actions to resolve balances.
• Maintain patient demographics and data collection systems.
• Research and respond to insurance payers regarding collection issues by phone, web, or writing.
• Contact patients, physician offices, and insurers to expedite claims processing.
