Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate seeks a visionary VP of Information Security to lead enterprise security strategy, governance, and regulatory compliance across a complex health system. This role reports to the CIO and partners with the Information Security Steering Committee to defend patient data and modernize security posture.

The ideal candidate will drive risk-informed decisions, oversee threat intel, and align security with clinical and operational needs while engaging with regulators and law

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 10+ years information security experience with senior leadership.
• Experience in healthcare security or regulated environments preferred.
• Proven track record presenting to boards and executives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and mature enterprise information security strategy aligned to business goals.
• Govern security program spanning people, processes, and technology.
• Establish and maintain a governance framework and control standards (NIST CSF, HITRUST, ISO 27001).
• Advise CIO and Board on risk posture and security maturity.
• Lead enterprise cyber risk management and third-party risk programs.
• Protect patient data and healthcare infrastructure while enabling digital innovation.
