West Michigan Works! is seeking an Industry Council Lead to manage and facilitate industry councils, with a focus on health care.

The role entails leadership facilitation, workgroup coordination, and engagement with employers and staff to advance workforce development initiatives. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–6 years of leadership experience in business or workforce administration, with strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Social Services, Public Administration, or related field.
• Three to six years of leadership experience in business or workforce administration.
• Proficiency with word processing, database, and spreadsheet software.

Responsabilités

• Organize and facilitate talent council and board for industry sector, including creating notes, budgets, and agendas.
• Manage project committees and establish agreements around strategy and tactics for sector's projects.
• Coordinate workgroups, ensuring projects are managed and completed. Provide project management supervision and compile information for reports.
• Communicate information regarding industry talent and workforce development information and news to sector membership.
• Create and implement communication and engagement strategies for organization including newsletters, social media, general engagement letters and press releases in coordination with the marketing department.
• Maintain industry sector website, membership and distribution lists; fundraising, membership fees and registration; review of budget and maintenance of ledger; recruitment for project teams, board and events.
• Build networks by attending networking events and participating in panels about talent strategies; build and maintain relationships with key leaders in the network including executives and c-level staff.
• Coordinate industry sector activities for annual MiCareerQuest event, including coordination with employer champions, fundraising activities, recruitment of exhibitors, and planning meetings.
• Provide core Business Solutions services for industry sector, including recruitment assistance and training grants.
• Document activities in Salesforce.
• Prepare routine and special reports as needed.
• Attend professional development activities, trainings, and seminars.
• Actively participate in continuous quality improvement processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
