Job summary

SEIU Healthcare Michigan (HCMI) is seeking a Field Coordinator based in Michigan to lead and develop a team of internal organizers. You will direct strategic campaigns to engage new employees, defend contracts, and maintain clear member communication under union leadership.

The role oversees multiple complex bargaining agreements and aims to establish strong member leader structures to drive impactful campaigns and organize effectively across districts.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of non-union organizing with 5–7 years of organizing experience.
• Proven supervisory experience and accountability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Organizers and execute a personal monthly/quarterly work plan.
• Create a strategic campaign calendar and lead campaigns with staff across union departments.
• Lead curriculum development and coordinate organizing team meetings and trainings.
• Identify and interview union members for Member Organizing Brigades.
• Support the team's development in organizing and leadership.
• Build external community relationships and strengthen internal ties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
