Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking an HVAC Tech I to ensure uninterrupted HVAC operations across our facilities. You will monitor, repair, and install HVAC and refrigeration equipment, maintaining safety and optimal performance.

The role requires at least 1 year of commercial HVAC experience, a NYS Class D license, and a preferred HVAC trade education. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for skill development within a hospital network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Vocational/Technical HVAC preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Commercial HVAC & refrigeration, required.
• Valid NYS Class D driver’s license and insurability to operate organization vehicles, required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, install, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment to keep systems safe and efficient.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize failures.
• Train and assist new mechanics and coordinate with contractors and staff.
• Design, fabricate, and replace parts as needed to keep hospital equipment in good condition.
