Expect routine preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and BAS monitoring in a hospital setting. The position requires hands-on diagnostics and repairs, with on-call duties and a focus on safety and infection prevention.

Qualifications

• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing HVAC/R systems, including electrical and control systems.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and environmental regulations.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC/R systems including air handlers, chillers, boilers, compressors, pumps, and related components.
• Responds to urgent service requests involving HVAC issues and facility emergencies.
• Performs preventive maintenance and documents findings; initiates work orders as needed.
• Monitors building automation systems (BAS) and environmental controls for energy efficiency.
• Orders and tracks parts; documents labor and materials for repairs.
• Completes infection control risk assessments before work in patient areas.
