Optalis Healthcare in Michigan seeks a Director of Housekeeping and Laundry to oversee cleanliness, infection control, and survey readiness across the facility. You will lead the housekeeping team, schedule staff, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, healthcare environmental services experience, and the ability to manage inspections, training, and documentation. This full-time position is located in Michigan, Three Rivers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in a leadership role in housekeeping or environmental services preferred in healthcare settings.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.

Responsabilités

• Manage daily supervision and scheduling of housekeeping staff to ensure adequate coverage across all facility areas.
• Perform inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and restrooms to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Train staff on cleaning protocols, infection control procedures, and equipment/chemical use.
• Monitor inventory and order housekeeping supplies as needed.
• Support survey readiness by maintaining documentation, cleaning schedules and logs.
• Participate in room turnovers, terminal cleaning, and deep cleaning projects as needed.
• Assist with quality assurance audits and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CMS, and state regulations for environmental safety and housekeeping operations.
