Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Housekeeper to perform day-to-day housekeeping tasks in accordance with current standards and facility policies. The role requires adherence to safety, infection control, and department procedures, while maintaining a warm and respectful environment for residents and staff.

You will follow cleaning schedules, assist in orienting new staff, and participate in ongoing quality assurance activities to support a well-run facility.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to work independently when needed.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors, staff and the public.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Follow established departmental policies and dress code.
• Meet housekeeping staff regularly to identify problems and improve services.
• Follow and complete cleaning schedules daily as assigned.
• Maintain a warm, personal, and positive atmosphere throughout the department.
• Attend in-service Education Programs.
• Assist in orienting new employees to the facility and department.
• Report equipment and supply needs to the supervisor.
• Maintain adequate supplies on housekeeping cart for routine cleaning.
• Follow safety rules and infection control procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
