Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to perform day-to-day housekeeping activities in accordance with applicable standards and facility policies. The role requires adherence to safety, infection control, and quality assurance measures.

Responsibilities include following cleaning schedules, maintaining supplies, and supporting orientation for new staff, with a focus on a warm and calm environment for residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Follow established departmental policies and procedures, including dress code.
• Meet housekeeping staff regularly to identify and improve service areas.
• Follow and complete cleaning schedules daily.
• Maintain a warm, caring environment across the department.
• Participate in in-service education programs.
• Assist in orientation of new employees to the facility and dept. policies.
• Maintain supplies on the housekeeping cart and ensure proper labeling of chemicals.
• Practice infection control and universal precautions.
