Job summary

FutureCare seeks a Floor Tech to maintain clean, sanitary floors across our healthcare facility. You will operate floor care equipment and follow safety and infection control procedures to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and resident safety.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment (buffers, burnishers, auto-scrubbers, wet vac).
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read labels and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor equipment to scrub, buff, wax and polish floors.
• Use automated floor cleaning equipment for large areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors and common areas.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and follow safety procedures.
• Assist with resident wheelchair cleaning and disinfecting.
• Adhere to ethics and compliance policies.
