Qualifications

• High School education or GED.
• Able to operate floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, wet vacs, and auto-scrubbers.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to read labels on cleaning and detergent materials.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor equipment (auto-scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors) daily or as needed.
• Use automated floor cleaning equipment for large areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning and restoration processes.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors and surfaces; report maintenance issues.
• Assist with cleaning common areas and resident spaces.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures at all times.
