Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Coordinator to join our mental health practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Initially part-time, this role has the potential to evolve into a full-time position as the practice grows.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Operations Management:
    • Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Collaborate with the practice owner to develop financial plans and strategies.
  2. Insurance and Billing:
    • Manage the submission, tracking, and follow-up of insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
    • Oversee the collection of unpaid session fees and implement effective billing systems.
  3. Payroll and Software Utilization:
    • Accurately process payroll using Gusto, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Utilize QuickBooks for managing accounts payable/receivable and maintaining financial records.
    • Monitor cash flow and key financial performance indicators.
    • Assist in the preparation of annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
  4. Policy Development and Compliance:
    • Provide support in developing financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Stay updated on relevant regulations and best practices in finance management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably within a healthcare or mental health setting.
  • Proficiency in Gusto, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation

$25 per hour

Part-time position with the potential to transition to full-time as the practice grows.
