Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners Internship in Accounting is an in-person opportunity based in the Phoenix area. You will assist the Accounting Department with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close under supervision, gaining exposure to multiple facilities’ financial operations.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Accounting, Finance, or Business programs, with strong Excel skills (vlookups, xlookups, sumifs, pivot tables) and solid communication.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, xlookups, sumifs, pivot tables).
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional teamwork.
• Interest in healthcare finance and willingness to learn core business drivers of Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in journal entry preparation under supervision.
• Perform detailed reconciliations for assigned accounts (cash, prepaid assets, fixed assets).
• Support monthly expense reviews with variance explanations and assist in reporting packages.
• Document policies and process improvements; support other finance-related requests.
• Engage in structured training and mentorship to develop accounting knowledge.
