Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners offers an Accounting & Finance Internship designed to support the Accounting Department with reconciliations, financial analysis, and month-end close activities under supervision. This structured program provides professional development and exposure to core financial operations across multiple ambulatory surgery center facilities.

You will report to the Senior Accountant or Manager - Facility Accounting and engage in training, mentorship, and ad hoc projects, while

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as junior, senior, or graduate student in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles (through coursework).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, PivotTables).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in healthcare finance and curiosity to understand business drivers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of journal entries under staff guidance.
• Perform reconciliations for assigned accounts (cash, prepaid assets, fixed assets).
• Support monthly expense review and basic variance explanations.
• Contribute to P&L and budget-to-actual analysis.
• Assist in preparing financial reporting packages.
• Document policies, procedures, and process improvements.
• Support other departments on finance-related requests.
