Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Financial Analyst to partner with the Social Work leadership, guiding budgeting, reporting, reconciliation, and forecasting to steward donor funds and departmental resources.

Ideal candidates hold a finance/business-related bachelor's degree with 2+ years in financial management, analytics, and reporting, plus experience with Excel, Power BI, PeopleSoft, OBIEE, and CRM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
• 2 years of business experience including project management, data analysis or accounting.
• Experience with financial management, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including fund balances and expenditures.
• Oversee department budget preparation and loading; monitor performance and trends.
• Perform CRM reconciliations for donor funds and ensure internal controls.
• Develop projection models, rolling forecasts, and reporting tools.
• Support fund planning, grant/contract closeouts, and donor reporting.
