Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Financial Advisor to support hospital leadership and CFO by preparing, analyzing, and interpreting financial data that drives operational and strategic decisions. You will maintain monthly reporting, partner with department directors, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.

You will build volume and revenue forecasts, monitor payer mix trends, and provide insights for cost-saving opportunities across service lines and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of analytical experience preferred.
• Heathcare or hospital experience strongly preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems/data tools.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations for clinical and operational leaders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis of actual results vs. budget and prior year.
• Partner with department directors to explain performance drivers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support labor management and productivity reviews.
• Assist with annual operating and capital budget development.
• Build volume, revenue, and financial impact forecasts for new service lines and payer contracts.
• Analyze net revenue trends and payer mix shifts alongside revenue cycle teams.
• Prepare cost accounting and service-line profitability analyses.
• Support month-end close activities (accruals, reconciliations).
